Another Opening,
Another Show...
.
Well, I couldn't have been more proud of the little guy than his opening night performance of the musical, Something's Up on Damascus Road. Josh has practiced so hard over the last few months to get the lyrics down to all the songs that he was to sing in the show.

.
.
Last night's dress rehearsal was quite a bit of fun to sit back and watch unfold. Thinking back to all the dress rehearsals that I participated in- both in high school as a student actor and then later at Hoban as the director...the mistakes, mishaps, and forgotten lines/ blocking are all part of the journey in getting ready for opening night.
.
Josh's show was no different, but like most productions, it came together beautifully tonight and Josh was the star of the show, at least in my eyes. The little guy sang in about 8 songs and was probably on stage for more than 1/2 of the entire production. Falling asleep in the car on the way home tonight, he'll need his rest for tomorrow morning's final performance...
